With the completion of the course a Canada Safety Council certificate will be issued. The instruction portion covers all pertinent aspects of Table 14.1 of the Saskatchewan OH&amp;S regulations.&nbsp; As of 2007, Saskatchewan OH&amp;S legislation requires anyone who operates powered mobile equipment to have a minimum of 16 hours training. &nbsp;Key elements covered is types of aerial work platforms, terminology, safe operations, maintenance and refueling. Upon completion of theory exam and practical exam, students will receive a certificate of completion valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>B.A.L.A.N.C.E.<\/summary>\n<p>Bridging Aboriginal Lifestyles And New Career Experiences. 25 hours; 5 hours a day for 5 days. In this 5-day course students learn a combination of life skills, goal setting, budgeting, communication and much more. Students participate in resume making and job coaching. This course is designed to bring balance to your life, providing you with the tools and skills necessary to live a healthy lifestyle. This course can be tailored to your specific needs. Upon completion students will receive a certificate that has no expiry.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>CHAINSAW\/BRUSHSAW SAFETY<\/summary>\n<p>This is a 3-day course, which includes classroom and hands on training. Students will learn safe handling and the use of saws. The correct cutting procedures and how to care, sharpen and maintain the saws. This course is certified through Canadian Trainers Foundation and upon completion of the course students will receive a certificate of completion which is valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>CONFINED SPACE ENTRY<\/summary>\n<p>Understand the OH&amp;S regulations as they pertain to confined spaces; How to recognize and mark confined spaces; Identify and control confined space hazards; Identify required personal protective equipment; Become familiar with industry accepted standards and regional codes of practice; Learn how to plan a successful entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The confined space entry portion of this course covers the provincial OH&amp;S requirements for Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as the industry best practices and definitions that are used and applied throughout western Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A rescue portion can be added to the class by request.&nbsp; The rescue portion of the course will have the participants become proficient in the use of rescue equipment and the planning involved to perform a successful confined space rescue. Making sure that construction worksites are as safe as possible begins with providing basic safety training to all employees. CSTS\u201920 is the only worker-specific safety program of its kind in the province and is acknowledged industry-wide as an excellent learning tool for individuals who are either new to the construction industry or have not had formal safety training. The program ensures that Level II\u00ae personnel are familiar with, and fully understand, all the regulations and variances involved when a Ground Disturbance takes place. Level II\u00ae is the standardized program recognized by industry regulators. Certification is valid for 3 years.
